What is life without cheese? We dutchies just can’t imagine it, unless you allergic ;p

Found a cheesy recipe in a Dutch recipe book, called ‘De bak encyclopedie’ (the baking encyclopedia) Turned out to be very easy and basic, but so good. I had it for lunch with a nice pumpkin soup.

This is the translated recipe ‘Kaasbroodjes’

               OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA                               
450 gr white flour
1 package of yeast (7gr)
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Black pepper
250ml lukewarm water
150 gr yellow cheese (Gouda)

1.Mix the flour and salt together
2.Make a little hole in the middle and put the yeast, sugar and water
together in it. Slowly mix the flour with liquid together. I usually
kneed the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth. Otherwise
you can use a kitchen machine, where at the start put the machine low 
until everything is mixed, then leave it on a higher speed
for 5 minutes.
3. Add the cheese and kneed it through the dough
4. Leave the dough on a warm spot, until it rose twice its size. 
  (approx. 1,5 hours) 
5. Take the dough from the bowl and kneed it again. Make 10 egg size
balls and put them on a greased baking sheet. Let it rise again. 
6. Brush some milk over the rolls and put them in a pre-heated oven 
   of 175 celcius
7. Be aware:after 10 minutes the smell of cheese and bread 
   will take over your kitchen!;p
8. After 25 minutes they are ready to be take out.
